Hey! This is Rutuja, a first year PhD student working in the area of spinal cord injury at the Lab of Axon Growth and Regeneration at CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad, India
About Me
I am a first-year PhD student working in the area of spinal cord injury, where I am focusing on transplanting iPSC-derived NPCs to investigate potential functional recovery. I started my PhD journey in 2024 at CCMB, under the guidance of Dr. Ishwariya Venkatesh. My research focuses on axonal regeneration, particularly in the context of stem cell transplantation.

MSc Biotechnology
Savitribai Phule Pune University
I completed my MSc in an interdisciplinary program that provided a thorough understanding of biotechnology. During my master's, I focused on breast cancer research, specifically examining the tumor suppressor gene SMAR1 and its possible downstream targets.
2017-2020
BSc Biotechnology

During my bachelor's degree, I developed a strong interest in research. My project explored the water purifying and anti-bacterial properties of Moring oleifera seeds.
