Hey! This is Rutuja, a first year PhD student working in the area of spinal cord injury at the Lab of Axon Growth and Regeneration at CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad, India

About Me

I am a first-year PhD student working in the area of spinal cord injury, where I am focusing on transplanting iPSC-derived NPCs to investigate potential functional recovery. Outside of science, I enjoy creating various artworks, including mandala art, lippan art, and other art forms. Welcome to my website—feel free to explore further and connect with me!

PhD in Molecular Neuroscience
CSIR-CCMB, Hyderabad, India

I started my PhD journey in 2024 at CCMB, under the guidance of Dr. Ishwariya Venkatesh. My research focuses on axonal regeneration, particularly in the context of stem cell transplantation. 

2021-2023

MSc Biotechnology

Savitribai Phule Pune University

I completed my MSc in an interdisciplinary program that provided a thorough understanding of biotechnology. During my master's, I focused on breast cancer research, specifically examining the tumor suppressor gene SMAR1 and its possible downstream targets.

2017-2020

BSc Biotechnology
Savitribai Phule Pune University

During my bachelor's degree, I developed a strong interest in research. My project explored the water purifying and anti-bacterial properties of Moring oleifera seeds.
